^  A lot of floating sea weed was seen when sample was collected at Oyster Harbor.

+ Approximately 2 inches of rain fell wthin the 24 hours before sampling.

** 0.7 inches of rain evening prior to sampling

++ Severe storms the evening before collection with rain close to 0.5 in.

# 0.5 inches of rain fell about 48 hours prior to sampling.

 

Enterococci are bacteria that are found in the GI tract of warm-blooded animals, which includes all birds and mammals.  Their presence in surface water indicates recent contamination with fecal waste.  Counts are expressed as cfu or colony-forming units.  Counts greater than 104/100 ml are shown in red as they indicate that water is not suitable for recreational use. 

*First week sampling conducted on Thursday due to Blue Angel traffic concerns.
